Water jet propulsion for marine craft - has pump with pivoting inlet guide vanes to vary water flow

The marine craft is propelled by water jet. It has a pump (62) with an inlet and an outlet (60). Water which flows into the inlet (70) is accelerated in the axial direction and flows out of the nozzle in the outlet in the form of a jet. The flow of water through the pump is controlled by inlet guide vanes (68) which extend radially inwards from the pump housing. These vanes can be rotated about axes (67) which are aligned radially to the pump axis. USE - Water jet propulsion of marine craft.
