The saturation controllable choke coil (Dr) contains a rectifier (D1), partic. in an output circuit of a switching controller. Parallel to the choke coil is provided an adjuster (T1) for demagnetising of the choke coil in dependence on a fault signal, supplied by a fault signal amplifier (KF). There is an additional potential source (UH), coupled to the adjuster such that it completely controls the adjuster into conductivity, on the rectifier blocked stage, when the fault signal amplifier does not respond.
