摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To mechanically change the ratio of the amount of travel of a relative coordinate input device to that of a cursor by providing plural signal generators with ratios of rotation angles to signal numbers different from one another and generating a signal different between pressing it onto a desk and non- pressing. CONSTITUTION:A ball 1 is rotated, and a rotating shaft 3 is rotated when the relative coordinate input device is depressed, and a rotating shaft 31 is rotated when it is not depressed, and a signal 7 or 71 is generated by a signal generator 4 or 41. Signals 7 and 71 are recognized by a coordinate transformer 5 to move the cursor. Since signal generators 4 and 41 have the ratios of rotation angles to signal numbers different from each other, the ratio of the amount of travel of this device to that of the cursor is switched. When the number of signals generated by the signal generator 4 per one rotation of the rotating shaft 3 is smaller than that generated by the signal generator 41 per one rotation of the rotating shaft 31, the cursor is quickly moved in the state depressing the device. When the device is not depressed, the cursor position is finely adjusted.</p>
