Sun-visor used in vehicle - incorporates mirror, movable cover and light switch

The sun-visor has a mirror and a cover which moves from closed rest position to an open position for use and which trips a light switch. The switch (32) should be tripped when the cover (26) is moved out beyond (C) its normal use position (B). Pref. the cover presents a 90 deg. flap which pivots between use (B) and rest (A) settings against a spring and can swing out (C) beyond the use position (B), i.e. to trip the switch. USE/ADVANTAGE - Motor vehicles. Visor cover has to be moved consciously beyond normal use setting to trip light switch thus extending car battery life.
