<p>PURPOSE: To require no superfluous component of a connector by integrating a shunt means with a housing. CONSTITUTION: A plug accepting end portion 20 of a housing 18 is equipped with a continuous frame 80 surrounding the whole periphery of a plug-accepting opening 24, and its flange 82 protrudes from the frame 80 in all directions. Accordingly, an opening 96 is provided in a panel, whose dimension is decided so that the frame 80 can be accepted when a receptacle 2 is fitted onto a printed board such that a plate 94 is positioned in the vicinity of a printed board end edge. When a plug 12 is inserted into the receptacle 2, the plug 12 deflects elastic contact pieces 46 in a direction shown by an arrow sign D, cooperates with a plural number of conductors 6. When the elastic contact pieces 46 are deflected, they are moved from lower portion positions to upper portion positions. By this movement, all the elastic contact pieces 46 are positioned at pressing positions by the positions, and the plural conductors 6 are guaranteed to be brought into contact with the plural contact pieces 14 of the plug 12. Thereby, its structure is simplified.</p> |
