PURPOSE:To provide the titled device which is designed capable of improving efficiency in banking operations and also of reducing manpower required therefore by a method wherein a new bankbook-containing section is provided in a bankbook handling device equipped with printing function so that the new bankbook is issued from this new book-containing section when processing of an old bankbook is complted. CONSTITUTION:When a signal, which indicates that printing of the final line of the final page of a bankbook 91 is completed, is put into an operating circuit 21, the old bankbook 91 is discharged from an inserting gate 1 by rollers 4, 3 and 2 through a roller controlling circuit 17. And then, a new bankbook 92 is conveyed out to a conveying passage 23 from a cassette 12 of a bankbook-containing section 25 by pick-up rollers 6 and 5 and set into a printing section 24, and then, by being controlled by a magnetic control circut 16, a secret number and an account number, etc. which were read out from a magnetic stripe of the old bankbook are written into a magnetic stripe of the new bankbook 92. And then, the first line of the first page of the new bankbook 92 is set in front of a printhead 8 for printing of remaining portion of the information which has to be printed. |
