PURPOSE: To create a time interval to set a receiving side of a frequency synthesizer by making receiving in a receiving time slot follow transmission in a transmitting time slot, creating a play time in a frame after receiving and also making the play time continue until transmission restarts in the next frame. CONSTITUTION: A receiving time slot TMO starts a little later than a corresponding transmitting time slot TSO. There is a play time in a receiver in a time limit (t1+Δt) by the time the next receiving time slot TM1 and transmitting time slot TSO start, and the play time can be used for purposes except a voice or a data signal from a base station. The play time is used to set a frequency synthesizer in a receiving path of the mobile station in other frequencies and to execute measurement of a signal intensity from the base station. Thereby, much time can be given to set a frequency synthesizer on a receiving side.
