PURPOSE:To eliminate the need of polar coordinate transformation for setting all image data as an object by setting a window containing a measuring object area, and bringing contour data of the measuring object area to arithmetic processing in this window. CONSTITUTION:A window containing a weld zone 4 of tab parts 3 being a measuring object area is set, only contour data of each area 10, 12 and 15 in the window is obtained, a sequence of points of a start point and an end point on a virtual circle supposed by this outline data is derived, and based on the sequence of points on the virtual circle of the contour data, a distance W on the virtual circle of the measuring object area 4 is derived. In such a way, such polar coordinate transformation to image data of the whole image as a conventional image measuring method becomes unnecessary, the number of times of transformation can be decreased remarkably, and the quality inspection can be executed at a high speed. |
