PURPOSE:To print satisfactory additional information without deteriorating the copy productivity by providing a thermal transfer member for adding other information than document information to a transfer paper carrying line being behind a fixing device and printing it. CONSTITUTION:When the tip of transfer paper which passes through a fixing device 600 is detected by a sensor 701, a pair of rollers 702, 703 are driven by receiving its detecting signal, and the transfer paper whose fixation is ended is fed to an information adding device 900. For a prescribed time after the tip of the transfer paper is detected by the sensor 701, a thermal head pressurizing solenoid 907a and an ink ribbon winding motor are driven. Subsequently, a thermal head 901 is driven counterclockwise against a spring 910 through links 908, 909, an ink ribbon 902 and the transfer paper P are inserted and held between a head 901 and a platen 905 and pressurized, and additional information is printed. |
