PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution of an image processor by writing the mask data into a desired address of a memory which contains the addresses corresponding to the lines and bits of each scan. CONSTITUTION:The binary image data obtained by binarizing the image of a work is written into an X address memory 15 containing the X addresses corresponding to each bit of each scan line via a data writing means 16. Then the mask data 1, for example, is written into the bit corresponding to a part to be masked by a scan line as long as a desired address to be masked, i.e., a desired scan line of the memory 15 includes the masking part. Thus a binary image added with a desired mask is obtained when the data written into the memory 15 are successively read out and arranged by an amount equal to a signal scan line. Thus it is possible to set plural masks on the same scan line or at an optional position of each scan line in a simple circuit constitution. In addition, the masks set once can be simply changed. |
