PURPOSE:To generate a high output and transform limited pulse by obtaining the light pulse of a narrow band by allowing a modulation light pulse from a semiconductor to interfere, and thereafter, bringing the pulse to light amplification. CONSTITUTION:A device is constituted by providing a semiconductor laser 10, a Fabry-Pverot interferometer 17 which functions as a narrow band filter, an optical coupler 19 being an optical amplifier and an erbium fiber 20, etc. According to this constitution, the pulse train of a high repetition is generated by a direct modulation of a laser 10. When this pulse train is allowed to interfere by the interferometer 17, the pulse train of a transform limit is obtained completely. Subsequently, light amplification is executed by inputting the pulse train to the fiber 20 having a light amplifying function through an optical coupler 19. In such a manner, a light completely transform limited pulse which has an ultrashort and high repetition and a high output, can be obtained. |
