PURPOSE:To continuously use a 1st developing part provided with an expensive developing roller having a long life by detaching only a 2nd developing part after collecting used developer in the 1st developing part into the 2nd developing part. CONSTITUTION:The 1st developing part 3 provided with the developing roller 5 and the 2nd developing part 10 provided with a developer chamber 19, a toner housing chamber 27 and an empty developer collecting chamber 26 are integrated in an initial state. In such a case, the shutter 15 of the developing part 10 is kept open. Next, new developer 20 in the developer chamber 19 is thrown into the developing part 3. Then, a rotating plate member 21 blocks the aperture part 22 of the developing part 3. When toner in the housing chamber 27 is exhausted and the life of the developer is expired, a lever is inclined to open the aperture part 22 and the developing part 3 is connected with the collecting chamber 26. Thereafter, the used developer is collected in the collecting chamber 26 by driving a developing device. When the collection of the developer is finished, the aperture part 22 is blocked and the developing part 3 is separated from the developing part 10. Then, only the developing part 10 is discarded, the developing part 3 provided with the roller 5 is kept, and the new 2nd developing part is attached. |
