PURPOSE:To measure the speed, etc., of the bicycle effectively by detecting an oscillation output which is proportional to the traveling speed of the bicycle without coupling a transmitter and a receiver mutually by a signal line. CONSTITUTION:When the front wheel 1 of the bicycle makes one turn as the bicycle travels, a magnet 3 passes by the transmitter 5 at the frequency corresponding to the traveling speed and a magnetism detector 8 sends signal pulses out. The electromagnetic wave of those pulses is detected by the coil 13 of the receiver 7 fitted to the handle, amplified 14, and passed through a filter 15, and its waveform is shaped 15, so that a rectangular wave signal with constant time width is applied to a computer 17. Consequently, the traveling speed signal which is proportional to the frequency of the pulses, a signal of an elapsed time from the start of the travel, and a mean or maximum speed signal are generated and when the traveling speed increases abnormally, a signal is supplied to an alarm 19 to display the danger. |
