The object of the invention is a method for obtaining surface-active agents from waste products from wood pulp production, in the manufacture of paper. According to this method, lignin, modified lignin and mixtures thereof are reacted with a polyamine to obtain an amine condensate, and this condensed amine is reacted with a bisulphite and a formaldehyde in aqueous solution to obtain the new surface-active agents.
