PURPOSE: To prevent wear and prolong effective service life of a thrust roller bearing by surrounding a hold device in a fringe part in the peripheral direction with a play by a first bearing ring to move it to a collar extending in the axial direction and providing narrow guide plays at a plurality of sections in the peripheral direction between a peripheral face of the collar and a peripheral face of a second bearing ring. CONSTITUTION: A first bearing ring 3 and a second bearing ring 4 have collars 5, 6 extending in the axial direction in an outer peripheral fringe part and an inner peripheral fringe part, respectively, and the collars 5, 6 surround a hold device 2 with a play and extend in the axial direction up to a scope of the second bearing ring 4 or the first bearing ring 3. Narrow guide plays are provided at a plurality of sections in the peripheral direction of the first bearing ring 3 between a peripheral face of the collar 5 and a peripheral face of the second bearing ring 4 which face mutually, and a plurality of hold projection 7 distributed in the peripheral direction are formed on the peripheral face of the collar 5. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the hold device from coming into contact with the bearing ring at the time of operation. |
