PURPOSE:To obtain an antitumor agent containing an extract with a water- immiscible organic solvent of Flammulina velutipes Sing. fruit body as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A water-immiscible organic solvent (preferably chloroform) is added to Flammulina velutipes Sing. fruit body or dried powder of said fruit body and subjected to extraction treatment with stirring at room temperature or heating, then an extracted mixture is filtered, thus the solvent is evaporated from a resultant filtered solution to afford a desired extract. A resultant extract is purified by column chromatography, preferably silica-gel column chromatography. Said extract has direct cell-killing action against tumor cell and administration dose of said extract is 1-5g per a day to a male adult, preferably administrated in dividing to 2-4 times per a day. |
