The equipment consists of a processor which coordinates a mechanical coin unit, with a decadic dialling (pulse dialling) detection unit, a detector and filter unit, a warning-tone injection unit and an operating mode selector, all these units forming a coin-based call-control device which has the possibility that the subscriber/proprietor can change the price of the metered unit, presenting said price to the user, the subscriber being able, by means of a switching key, to cancel the services provided by the equipment, leaving the associated voice mail box (telephone box number) connected to the line as a normal telephone. <IMAGE>
