<p>PURPOSE:To enable stapling of copies, if their number is higher than a specified value by providing means for counting the number of documents and means for displaying the stapling possible mode, if the number of document obtained by the counting means is beyond the limits of stapling capacity. CONSTITUTION:If the staple mode is selected and a copy execution command is started, a document handling device (RDF)300 capable of recirculating copies commences the count of documents. Next, the count is compared to the maximum number of documents which can be stapled. If the number of documents is higher than that which can be stapled, a display group 700 outputs a message 'Press start key, if a perfectly printed copy is acceptable'. After that, if an operator presses a copying button again to turn a device ON, a perfectly printed copy sheet is prepared based on a one-side printed copy, then these sheets are stapled together and thus duplication process is completed.</p> |
