PURPOSE:To provide a firm connection by fitting the axial end parts of metallic outer and inner tubes on each other with a radial gap, filling the gap with adhesive, thereafter thrusting the axial and part of a plastic tube up to the depth of the gap, and plastically deforming one of the outer and inner tubes against the other radially. CONSTITUTION:With a metallic tube 7, an inner tube 9 whose right part is reduced to a small diameter, is fitted into a straight outer tube 8, the left part 8a of the outer tube 8 and the left part 9a of the inner tube 9 are closely fitted and seam-welded, a fitting part 10 is formed between the right part 8b of the outer tube 8 and the right part 9b of the inner tube 9, and the outer surface of the right part 9b of the inner tube 9 is knurled-machined to be formed into a finely recessed and projected face. A specified amount of adhesive 12 is held in the inner depth of the fitting part 10, and the left end part 11a of a plastic tube 11 is thrusted into the fitting part. The adhesive 12 is pressed against the end face part of the plastic tube 11 to fill clearances (a), (b). With the adhesive not hardened, the right part 9a of the inner tube 9 is plastically deformed outward radially by a cylindrical holder and a mandrel. A connection capable of withstanding high torque can thus be obtained. |
