<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an image forming action from being continued without being aware of such a situation that a paper is wound round a roller by forming the surface to be detected of a color having the different reflection quantity of light from that by the paper on the circumferential surface of the roller in a fixing device and providing a reflection type photointerrupter for detecting the paper wound round the roller. CONSTITUTION:The surface to be detected of the color having the different reflection quantity of light from that by the paper is formed on the circumferential surface of one roller 20 in the fixing device 13, and the reflection type photointerrupter 25 is provided at a position opposed to the surface to be detected so as to prevent the succeeding image forming action based on the result detected by the photointerrupter 25. Namely, in the case that the paper is wound round the roller 20, the surface to be detected is covered with the paper and the light reflected by the paper is made incident on the reflection type photointerrupter. Since the reflection quantity of light by the paper is different from that by the surface to be detected, such a situation that the paper is wound round the roller is detected. Thus, jamming is displayed and the succeeding image forming action is prevented.</p> |
