Sewage treatment plant comprising a settling chamber provided with batteries of lamellar components. The plant, consisting of a vessel comprising a conical bottom (2) fitted with a system for discharging the settled sludge, and surmounted by a circular cylindrical part (1), is characterised in that inside the circular cylindrical part are arranged two substantially vertical and parallel partitions (3) and (4) defining a central chamber and two side chambers (6) and (7), in that at least one battery of superposed lamellar components is installed in the central zone (5) of the central chamber, extending from one partition to the other and leaving free two zones (9) and (10) at the ends of the central chamber, which are limited by the wall of the vessel, the zone (10) comprising a system for discharging the clarified water, and in that communications are arranged in at least one of the partitions between the side chambers and the free zones situated at the ends of the central chamber. <IMAGE>
