PURPOSE:To effectively utilize resources by providing a memory which stores information on each state of a unit in each unit and surely detecting the end of the life of each unit. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body unit 30 provided with a RAM 33, a developing part unit 40 provided with a RAM 42 and a toner part unit 50 provided with a RAM 52 are disposed in the recorder. When power is supplied, whether or not a mounted unit is the correct unit adapted to the recorder is judged based on identification information out of the state information. When it is the correct one, the state information in the respective memories 33, 42 and 52 is read out and written in a memory 22 in a controller 20. Then, an image recording action is started and a counted value showing a life cycle in the state information is counted down every time an image is recorded and the counted value is written in the memories 33, 42 and 52 of the respective units 30, 40 and 50. Therefore, the ends of the lives of the respective units 30, 40 and 50 are surely detected. Thus, the resources are effectively unilized. |
