PURPOSE:To prevent plant-growth inhibition due to heat of a fluorescent tube by equipping a transparent member between the fluorescent tube and plants in case the plants are cultured using plant-growing plates capable of lateral movement in a culture tank equipped with an inclined fluorescent tube. CONSTITUTION:An inclined fluorescent tube 16 for applying light to plants 11 is equipped in a cultivator and plural plant-growing plates 10 capable of lateral movement along with the growth of the plants 11 are simultaneously equipped so that the distance between the top part of the plants 11 are the fluorescent tube 16 may be kept within a prescribed range. A transparent member 17 is further equipped between the fluorescent tube 16 and the plants 11 so as to be parallel to the fluorescent tube 16 at a prescribed distance. The culture is then carried out by supporting a plant 11 by the plant growing-plate 14, supplying a nutrient solution (L) containing prescribed fertilizer components and keeping the distance between the top part of the plant 11 and the fluorescent tube 16 within a prescribed range. By this above-mentioned method, growth inhibition due to raising of leaf temperature can be prevented because the transparent member 17 acts as a heat-preventive member even in case of contact of the top leaves of rapid-growth plant 11 with the transparent member 17. |
