PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of an electrode, and to accomplish both low internal resistance and large electrostatic capacitance by a method wherein an electrode body is sintered into chip form, and the current-collecting surface of the electrode body and a conductive thin film are brought into contact with a current-collecting body. CONSTITUTION:Electrode bodies 1 are formed by sintering activated charcoal grains having a large surface area, and conductive thin films 2 are formed by having the outer circumference of the electrode bodies 1 coated with a mixture. Current-collecting bodies 3 are brought into contact with the current- collecting surface of the electrode bodies 1, also they come in contact with the edge face of the thin films 2, and the electric charge of the polarized electrode is collected. On the electrode bodies 1 containing an electrolyte housed in gaskets 4, the electric charge on the part near the current-collecting surfaces 11 is collected to a current-collecting body 3 directly, and the electric charge on the further part from the current-collecting parts 11 is collected to the current-collecting bodies 3 through the intermediary of the thin films 2. As a result, even when the electrode bodies 1 are thickly formed, the internal resistance becomes low. |
