PURPOSE:To enable development with positive electrostatically charged single- component nonmagnetic toner which develops a negative electrostatically charged image by using the positive electrostatically charged single-component nonmagnetic toner and specifying the particle size distribution of the particle size of nonmagnetic toner particles and the volume means particle size of nonmagnetic toner. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous silicon photosensitive body which holds the negative electrostatically charged image and the positive electrostatically charged nonmagnetic toner are used, a toner carrying body which carries the nonmagnetic toner on the surface and the photosensitive body are arranged at a development part at a constant interval, and the nonmagnetic toner is controlled to thickness less than the interval on the toner carrying body and conveyed to the development part to perform the development. The nonmagnetic toner contains 12-60 pieces % nonmagnetic toner particles of <=5 mum in particle size, 1-33 pieces % nonmagnetic toner particles of 8-12.7 mum in particle size, and <=2.0 vol. % nonmagnetic toner particles of >=16 mum in particle size and has the particle size distribution of 4-10 mum volume means particle size of the nonmagnetic toner. Consequently, the negative electrostatically charged image can be developed faithfully and a high-density image is obtained without any fogging. |
