Device for the simplified fastening, in space, of a bodywork element. The invention relates to a device making it possible to hold a motor vehicle bodywork element, without risk. By virtue of the pivoting of the device, the operator applies paint using the spray gun without ever being caught up in the paint mist. It consists of a frame 1 in which the element is fastened by hooks 2 connected by chords (strings) 3, then tightened and immobilized by jamming cleats 4 and 5.
