The present invention relates to a device for straightening items of joinery in which the wood has warped, and especially an outside front door and other doors, which have buckled outwards. The object of the invention is to restore to the door its original flat surface, without altering it, except for drilling three holes through the thickness of the door in which the three bolts (1) and (3) are inserted from the outside, thus being firmly joined to the door. A pair of threaded rods join together at the centre (12) of the bolt (1) and pass through the diameter of the bolts (3) through a drilled hole to receive at each end an adjusting nut which therefore imparts a tie rod function to the two threaded rods so as to cause the bolts (1) and (3) to tilt and force the top and bottom of the door outwards. <IMAGE>
