PURPOSE:To produce an enclosed structure with high security, by piling a metal flange in the shape of a hollow on a cell can on one side sticking them with an organic adhesive agent, and welding the metal flange and the other side of the cell can, to enclose them. CONSTITUTION:The upper part of a negative electrode can 1 in shape of a plate in a thin enclosed cell which is about 1mm. thick in all is stuck to the metal flange 11 in the shape of a hollow with an organic adhesive agent 10 such as silione rubber being electrically insulated. After cell contents such as positive electrode active material 6, negative electrode active material 7, a separator 5 and un-woven cloth 8 are fed, the peripheral part of the metal flange 11 and the peripheral part of the plate-shaped positive electrode can 3 are welded by radiating laser beam, to enclose them. Accordingly, not only reliability of the sticking parts can be increased by enlarging the sticking area with the adhesive agent 10, but also deformation and strain of the cell can be absorbed. Effect of preventing leakage can be improved thereby. |
