The test body, e.g. for a coordinate measurement device, is a carrier (1-4) with a number of attached or machined sensing shape bodies, each defining a reference point. The bodies have concave spherical surfaces sensed from inside. The spherical surfaces are great circle bands of a sphere. The sensing shape bodies can be individual shaped bushes attached to the carrier. They can be bearing bushes. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple and cheap to make yet has high degree of geometric stability.
