For furniture parts with support plate (13) and cast on parts of plastic, the lower and/or upper halves (1,2) of the moulds are mfd. from metal sections (4) produced with the negative shape of the cast-on strip (14). Strips are cut to length from the section, which is e.g. an Al extrusion, and are combined to form the mould half. A line (8) is included for passage of a heat transfer medium. ADVANTAGE - Cost-effective method of producing accurate moulds with good surface finish.
