A process to mfr. spun yarn on an open-end rotor, in which sepd. fibres are fed along an angled surface into the groove where the fibres accumulate, and are then spun on a surface which is angled no more than 12 deg. out of the groove, then the spun yarn is drawn out of the rotor along the front central axis. The appts. is also claimed. ADVANTAGE - The design of rotor gives an improved quality of yarn, both as regards structure, and stability. Higher rotary speed improves the quality. Variation of surface angles produces relative desirable yarn properties.
