Detonator with vertically aligning flexible sensor wire - held by expandable alignment elements until these spread out when ejected from rocket or aircraft

An approximately cylindrical detonator with an elastic sensor wire (2) has expandable alignment elements (15) attached to its base (17) so that is automatically adopts an approximately vertical position upon reading the ground. At least part of the alignment elements have ends (14) in the form of radial supports. These oppose the sensor wire wound round the housing (3) when the elements are unspread to prevent radial expansion of the sensor wire despite its elasticity and spiral form. USE/ADVANTAGE - Weapons ejected from rockets or aircraft. Enables deployment of coiled sensor wires without extraction elements, e.g. parachutes.
