摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate need for artificial matching of various values of a lens optical system and a parallax angle by using a means detecting information such as a focus value and a zoom value of a zoom lens when one reference television camera picks up an object and calculating the parallax value to pick up the object with two television cameras based on the detection information and a means controlling the parallax angle of the two television cameras with the calculation value in this case. CONSTITUTION:A reference television camera 2 is directed to an object 9 to decide a zoom value of a zoom lens 1 and to match the focus. Then the zoom value and focus value or the like of the zoom lens 1 at that time are detected by a detector 7 and the detection information is sent to a microcomputer 8. The microcomputer 8 calculates a stereoscopic parallax angle theta1 of the two television cameras 2, 4 and an angle theta2 between line segments tying reference points P2, P4 of the television cameras 2, 4 and each camera optical axis. Then the calculated values are sent to a lens drive section 6 and a parallax angle adjustment device 5 to adjust the angle theta2 between line segments tying reference points P2, P4 of the television cameras 2, 4 and each camera optical axis with respect to the optical axis of the television camera 2 is adjusted.
