PURPOSE:To speed up processing by calculating an intersection point after the calculation of printing-out data, and after that, dividing data into trapezoids. CONSTITUTION:When the data of the contour of a pattern or a character is inputted to a data input/output means 101, if a curve is contained in the inputted data, it is approximated into a straight line by a straight line approximating part 102. Next, the data to become necessary at the time of the execution of printng-out is obtained previously for every straight line by a printing-out data calculating part 103, and further, it is checked by an intersection point calculating part 104 whether there are intersecting sides or not, and if they exist, the intersection point is obtained, and each side is divided at this intersection point. After that, the data is divided into the trapezoids by a trapezoid dividing part 105 as deciding a part included in the area of a clip. The trapezoid obtained by the trapezoid dividing part 105 is printed out by a bit data generating part 106, and is sent to a form transcribing device 107. Thus, the processing is speeded up. |
