The bedside table top can be swung back to expose the interior and is fitted with a drawer arrester which prevents a drawer being fully pulled out when the top is raised. The arrester (26,36) should be moved into and out of the arrest setting from the table top (8) and is pref. postiively coupled to this and is locked to the drawer (6) when the top is up but freed when the table top is brought back down. USE/ADVANTAGE - Hospital equipment. Table top coupled to drawer arrester ensures conjoint movement in simple design, proof against faulty operation.
