<p>A development apparatus (10) in an electrostatographic copier or printer includes a housing (22) having two parallel, cylindrical side-by-side recessed sump sections (52, 54) partially forming an overlapping segment therebetween, and a pair of rotatable mixers (56, 58) having radially extending paddles (A, B) that interleaf within the overlapping segment of the sump sections (52, 54). The development apparatus (10) as such is particularly capable of producing chopping, folding, end-to-end and side-to-side mixing and charging movement of developer material (T) therein, in order to provide high and reliable quality image developement.</p> |
