PURPOSE:To completely prevent the short pass of a high-temp. gas when the filter is used by binding the peripheries of the loops of a metallic wire sterically waved in the different directions with a binding wire and compression-molding the product into a ring. CONSTITUTION:The metallic wire 1 is bent in one direction by first gears 2, bent in the different direction by second gears 4 having a different module and sterically waved in the different direction. The product is wound on a drum to form a group 5 of loops, a binding wire 6 is wound on the periphery to bind the product into a specified shape, and the material is placed in a metallic mold and compression-molded. The material is easily inserted in this method, and the precision and surface state of the molded product are remarkably improved. When the gas filter thus formed is used, the short pass of a high-temp. gas is completely prevented. Furthermore, even a thicker wire is easily worked, and the filter is hardly burned and used for a long period. |
