<p>PURPOSE:To permit substantial cutting of a DC voltage with the increased thickness of vertically oriented film formed of a vertical orienting agent which is a specific polymer by using such film. CONSTITUTION:Vertically oriented films 3, 4 are formed of a silicone vertical orienting agent which is a polymer expressed by a constitutional formula. In the formula, R denotes a fluorine substd. alkyl group of a straight chain of which the number of carbon atoms is 1-30, and part or the whole of hydrogen atoms is substd. with fluorine, and R' denotes an alkyl group of a straight chain having 1-4 carbon atoms.
