PURPOSE:To alleviate thermal stress in a capacitor by so providing a collar formed larger than the outer diameter of a metal case and having a seat plate function and insulation as to cover the entire periphery of the curling sealing end of the open end of the case. CONSTITUTION:A collar 14 formed larger than the outer diameter of a metal case 11 and having a seat plate function and insulation is so provided as to seal by curling the open end of the case 11 through a sealer 13 and to cover the entire periphery of the end 15 of the curling sealing of the open end of the case 11. Thus, even when an aluminum electrolytic capacitor is directly mounted on the bottom of a printed circuit board to be mounted in high density for use, the collar 14 performs be seat plate function. Excellent electric insulation with respect to the board is obtained due to the presence of the collar 14, and the collar 14 has heat insulation. Thus, thermal stress into the capacitor can be alleviated.
