PURPOSE:To eliminate a need of a refresh arbitrating circuit by providing a read/write adapter with a memory buffer. CONSTITUTION:A read/write adapter 2 is provided with a memory buffer 18. Therefore, the refresh arbitrating circuit is unnecessary because data is processed between a host computer and the buffer memory 18 at the time of normal operation. Since an interface circuit is compatible with a conventional portable file memory having the SRAM constitution, a file memory having the DRAM constitution and the file memory having the SRAM constitution can exist and be used together. Further, the portable file memory can be used at a low speed because the processing speed of the host computer is determined by the access time length of the buffer memory. |
