PURPOSE:To invariably detect the internal temperature of a storage battery by inserting a cylinder through a liquid port plug in the vertical direction, fixing the upper section to a ceiling wall, and extending the lower section downward from the lower end of the liquid port plug. CONSTITUTION:The interior 3 of a liquid port plug 2 is hollow, an exhaust gas entry hole 4 is provided on the lower side face, a screwed section 5 is provided at the middle section, and a gas discharge hole 8 is provided on a ceiling wall 7. A cylinder 9 penetrates the interior 3 of the liquid port plug 2 in the vertical direction, the upper section is fixed to the ceiling wall 7, and the lower section is extended further downward from the lower end of the liquid port plug 2. A temperature detecting element 10 is arranged at the lower section in the cylinder 9, the temperature detecting element 10 and lead wires 11 and 11' are electrically connected, and lead wires 11 and 11' are extracted to the outside of the liquid port plug 2. When a temperature detecting device is fitted to a storage battery, the lower section of the cylinder 9 of the temperature detecting device is located in the storage battery. The temperature of the storage battery is detected by the temperature detecting device even when a temperature difference is generated between an engine room and the storage battery. |
