PURPOSE:To enable to adjust the concentration of ozone to a prescribed value in a short time by measuring the temperature and humidity of air in a storage chamber and setting the operation conditions of the ozonizer while considering the effects of the temperature and humidity on the ozone generation efficiency of the ozonizer. CONSTITUTION:The kind and quantity of articles 2 stored in a storage chamber 3 are inputted from an input device 11 into a CPU 8. The small components of the articles are calculated from the inputted data and the data of the smells recorded in a program memory 9 and the quantity of O3 required for deodorizing the smell components. The CPU 8 simultaneously detects the temperature, humidity and ozone concentration in the chamber 3 based on detection signals from a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor 5 and an ozone sensor 6, calculates the generation amount of the O3 required for deodorizing and sterilizing air in the chamber 3 and the concentration of the O3 after a prescribed time and subsequently outputs a driving signal to an ozonizer 1 through an input-output interface 12. After a prescribed time, the CPU compares the measured value of the O3 concentration in the chamber 3 with the set value, and when the difference is larger than a prescribed value, the CPU measures the temperature and humidity in the chamber 3 based on the detection signals from the sensors 4 and 5, calculates the increase or decrease value of the generation amount of the O3 based on the measurement results and subsequently outputs a driving signal to the ozonizer 1 to drive the ozonizer with such an application voltage as gives the prescribed O3 generation amount. |
