METHOD OF POWER SUPPLY POWER MONITORING FOR NON-INTERRUPTION POWER SUPPLY

PURPOSE: To properly monitor the power supply power of an uninterruptible power supply device by generating a reference waveform and comparing a current waveform with the reference waveform. CONSTITUTION: A control mechanism 38 generates a reference waveform by synthesizing the number of preceding cycles of the AC waveform of an input line. The reference waveform consists of 64 samples at equal intervals over the entire period of a series of samples over one cycle of an input waveform. A reference waveform 50 consists of a first half cycle 51 and a second half cycle 52, and both are rectified so as to have only a positive sample value. At each sampling after the cycle has been initiated, the value of the reference waveform at that point is generated by the averaging of the weighted averaging between a sample value of the corresponding point of a large number the previous cycles of the input AC waveform and that of the corresponding point of a number of preceding cycles.
