A roller table separating device 3 fitted to a root crop harvester is mounted to allow ready adjustment of longitudinal operating angle of table to suit crop conditions. Adjustment is by actuators controlled either manually by operator or by automatic level sensors pre-set to relate table angle to horizontal irrespective of angle of slope being traversed in work. Due to the relative position of pivot points of the roller table, and the linkage of roller table to feed conveyor 1, the height of drop of the crop from feed conveyor to table and from table to loading conveyor is minimum and is maintained so, thereby reducing possibility of crop bruising/damage at that point. <IMAGE> |
