PURPOSE:To get plural frequency ranges for vibration damping, and also to reduce the cost by arranging doubled orifices having different diameters, and by providing an electrode only for the wide orifice. CONSTITUTION:When voltage is not applied to an electrode plate 7, transfer of fluid between a main fluid chamber 30 and a sub-fluid chamber 31 is performed through a wide orifice passage 5 and a narrow orifice passage 6. In this case, tuning is done for a high resonance frequency. When voltage is applied to the electrode plate 7, viscosity of electroviscus fluid in the wide orifice passage 5 increases and the passage 5 is almost closed. Consequently, transfer of fluid between the main fluid chamber 30 and the sub-fluid chamber 31 is performed only through the narrow orifice passage 6. Thus, tuning is done for a low resonance frequency. |
