<p>The awning comprises a canopy for protecting the wound fabric and is of the type comprising, on the one hand, a stationary carrier structure (1) for a fabric-carrying roller (16) and articulated arms (6) and, on the other hand, a fabric (8) which is fixed by one of its ends to the fabric-carrying roller (16) and by the other of its ends to a load bar (7) which is fixed to the end of articulated arms (6) so that the fabric (8) can be wound over the fabric-carrying roller (16) or unwound from the latter, in order to be extended in a plane which is inclined to a greater or lesser extent. It is characterised in that it comprises an awning, separate and independent from the carrier structure (1), which is extended from the rear portion of the roller (16), and on top of this roller (16), in a front plane (21) limited by one edge overhanging at least as far in front of the roller (16) as is the load bar (7) when the fabric (8) is in the wound position, means being provided for locking the canopy in a position which is advantageously adjustable in relation to the stationary carrier structure (1), in which position its front plane is parallel to the fabric (8). <IMAGE></p> |
