FILM OR SHEET OF EXCELLENT HEAT SEALING PROPERTY

PURPOSE:To obtain a film or sheet improved in heat sealing properties without detriment to the properties as a packaging material by mixing a polybutylene terephthalate resin having a specified intrinsic viscosity with a polycarbonate and molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:50-95wt.% polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) of an intrinsic viscosity >=0.7 is mixed with 5-50wt.% polycarbonate resin (B) having an intrinsic viscosity >=0.4 and such a melt viscosity that the etaA to etaB ratio (at 260 deg.C and a shear rate of 100 sec<-1>) is 0.10-1.5 (wherein etaA is the melt viscosity of component A; and etaB is the melt viscosity of component B), and the mixture is molded to obtain the title film or sheet having a bonding strength at a heat- sealed part >=0.5kg/15mm and a sealing temperature width in which that bonding strength can be realized of 10 deg.C or above.
