PURPOSE:To enable automatic polishing of the overall surface of a concrete pillar unit by linearly polishing the surface of the concrete pillar unit by a sand paper roll while moving a frame, vertically provided on a carriage, in the lengthwise direction of the concrete pillar unit. CONSTITUTION:A sand paper roll 13 is provided at one end part of an arm 12 and driven by a motor, and the sand paper roll 13 is brought into contact with a concrete pillar unit 1 whose surface is polished. Here the arm 12 is mounted to a frame 9 vertically provided on a carriage, and by turning the arm 12 in accordance with a change of a contour in the concrete pillar unit 1 by a balance weight 14 provided in the other end of the arm 12, the sand paper roll 13 is brought into contact with the surface of the concrete pillar unit 1 at almost a fixed pressure. Accordingly, the surface of the concrete pillar unit 1, even when it is a tapered concrete pillar unit 1, is finished in a uniform polished condition by polishing the tapered concrete pillar unit 1 while the carriage 8 to which the arm 12 is mounted is moved in the lengthwise direction of the concrete pillar unit 1. |
