PURPOSE:To attempt to reduce the weight and improve the follow-up nature of the turbo charger impeller for internal combustion engine and to improve the efficiency of output and fuel cost by using specific materials for the impellers of both compressor side and exhaust side of a turbo charger for an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A compressor impeller 2 is fabricated of either one of carbon fiber reinforced resin, carbon fiber reinforced carbon, and carbon fiber reinforced aluminum alloy. An exhausted gas turbine impeller 3 is made of either one of carbon fiber reinforced carbon, carbon fiber reinforced metal, and carbon fiber reinforced metal coated with acid-and-heat-proof material. As the impeller is lightened this way, its follow-up nature is improved and consequently the efficiencies of output and fuel cost can be improved. |
