PURPOSE: To evenly compress the elastomer material and improve reliability by having plural metal wires in an elastomer material, and connecting a first end of each metal wire to a terminal contact of a board, and forming a second end thereof into a spherical contact. CONSTITUTION: An elastomer array area interposer EAAI 10 connects two board and is provided on a board 20, which includes a conductive path 25. The EAAI 10 has a first weir bond 30, a second wire bond 35, a metal wire 40, a spherical contact 50, an elastomer resin material 60 and a laser scribe 70. The bonds 30, 35 are connected to the spherical contact 50 by the wire 40, and the material 60 surrounds the wire 40 for tight fitting. The scribe 70 inside of the material 60 is arranged between the adjacent wires 40 or in the periphery thereof. With this structure, since the elasticity of the material 60 can be controlled, the material 60 between the boards is compressed evenly, and the stresses to be generated between the boards are lowered, and contact having reliability is thereby held. |
